Be Lovely

Speaking with friends,

we forget in the midst of surviving passion,

we can

be lovely.

Without effort she walked into the room

silks will flow, as magic, legs would dance,

there was no he in this little vignette

only she,

her, woman, delight, delicious, stunning, elegance

this was the me that she portrayed,

without trial,

a simple arrival.

We all did glance,

we all would chance,

if we could just have a moment of your

I would, even she, anyone nearby,

while the winds silent breeze suddenly stirred her flush,

her hands reached to catch garments to rest between her legs,

her smile,

the beauty she suggests,

lips parted, just a tad of a man walking away,

thinking he might have just seen

a notice of her tongue,

that seduction that seemed now while she

posed in retrospect

to be a simple part of her magical mystique.

She would when the night’s crisp cool air

would swift across her naked skin shrouded

allow her to give glance

she is that special, that pretty, that ironic twist

of wondering when we want,

how can we define that that it is

only needs to be reminded … without effort,

be lovely.
